Legends Ambassador Club
Empowering students to be active participants in ending the stigma around mental illness through sanctioned clubs within JCK schools run by student ambassadors.
The JCK Ambassador Club are sanctioned clubs within JCK schools run by student ambassadors with guidance from the JCK Foundation and school staff! The clubs are an extension of our foundation’s overall message that can live within school communities after we are physically present. Meeting agendas and activities are guided by JCK, but students are given as much ownership as possible to make each schools’ club personalized and unique!
Our “Why”
Research shows that when young people are involved in mental health programs and initiatives, they are more inclined to both seek and participate in the process. Allowing students to have autonomy in the process and implementation of club activities, trust is built between school staff and the students they work with. To make the most out of limited resources for mental health support, peer support groups is a cost-effective strategy to promote mental wellness.
